This
new product introduced by IVT further enhances the product line for
recording high quality video. This unit has too many features to adequately
list here or on the down loadable file. We would suggest that you contact
us for your requirements and a possible demonstration Of the outstanding
qualities presented. This unit can also be configured to work in conjunction
with the ADVCR (see ADVCR on this web site) Using the combination will
allow instant review and coordination of the video on the hard drive
while having the ability to remove a tape for archival storage of the
mission.
Simultaneous Playback
and Record
The recorder can perform all the playback functions,
such as searching, pause and playing, while the unit is also acquiring
data. The playback video can be within about 2 seconds of the record
point. This feature can be used as a confidence head to ensure that
the video is being properly recorded on the disk.
• Any Combination
of 2 IDE Hard Drives or Solid State Memory Modules
This unit can use one or two types of data storage methods. It is currently
shown using one 40gb hard drive. But it can be configured to use a combination
of removable solid state media, and also removable disk media. For instanitce
would be possible to have the unit playing and or recording to one media
while the other media was removed or replaced.
• NTSC, PAL or SDI I/O
The unit will automatically switch to the correct format. Whichever
format is recorded is the format that will be played back. Both NTSC
and PAL can be recorded on different files within the same unit.

• 16:9 , 14:9 or 4:3 Aspect Ratio
The HDR series of recorder will accept several different types of aspect
ratio. Like the video format the aspect ratio will play the same as
it was recorded as.
• Custom Enclosures
Depending upon the customers requirements the mounting enclosure can
be made to fit existing mounting configurations
• Multi-voltage Power Supplies
The input power configuration can be made to the customers requirements.
The demonstrator unit is powered from a 28 volt supply.
• Variable Compression Rates
The compression rate for the video and Audio can be changed for each
file recorded. For DV quality the compression rate will give about 25minutes
of recording time per gigabit of storage media. For the internal 40gb
disk in the unit shown this means that you have almost 17 hours of continuous
recording time at DV quality video.
• Custom Remote Control Options
To demonstrate his technology, the unit shown is controlled from a standard
video tape recorder remote control using familiar controls. It can also
be controlled from a PC or even a Palm Pilot for field programming.
This could be useful for organizing the file data information, or even
using a moving map display with the map position determined from the
recorded GPS data.
• Hi Speed Search Functions
Search speeds of up to 60X and as low as one frame per second are available
for fast review of recorded video
